Jennette Slade is a creative practitioner and art tutor based in Bournemouth, a seaside town in Southern England – whose creative practice has so far included illustration, graphic design, animation, film shorts, portfolio website building, art direction, art retreat leading and workshops. Jennette is a graduate of the Arts University Bournemouth where she earned a 1st class BA (Hons) degree in Illustration for creating moving illustration (both the motion and emotional moving type).
In Jennette’s personal practice she uses hand rendered yet sophisticated low fi approaches to her work, pushing the bounaries of analog and digital and currently is exploring dots and systematic patterns becoming text.
Jennette enjoys creative problem solving for her clients (with a full working knowledge of creative computer programmes) in order to bring across a personal rendering of their idea that they would not be able to create on their own. With degrees in both illustration and mechanical design engineering Jennette has a very unique eye for detail, perspective and the design process.
Jennette is also a people person who designs and leads artistic retreats, workshops and a community based art leisure mornings. In addition, Jennette is also available to demonstrate/lead medium based workshops (tailored to the groups needs) including silk painting, needle felting, print making, water colour painting, crochet, craft and other drawing based mediums.
